The inscription on this stone reads:
Erected by Peter mcFarlan / Tarbet In memory of / Peter McFarlan / His son who died 27 Agu / 1837 aged eight years / And three months / Also two of his children / Who died in infancy
(This is marked as number 65 in the 1969 list, which gives the inscription as: Peter McFarlane in Tarbet to son Peter 27 ~ ~.1837 ·8y 3m, two children infancy)
