Kite Photography

West Lothian Archaeology visited the project on May 17, 2013 and taught us how to use kites to take aerial photographs - an excellent way to achieve a new perspective! Although this technique has now been superseded by the use of drones, it was a great exercise for S1 pupils from Hermitage Academy.

Here are a few aerial photographs of a trench in Tarbet playing field, taken using a camera attached to a kite (thanks to John Wells and Jim Knowles).
