The inscription on this stone reads:
This is the property of / Peter McFarlane and Mary / McDougall his spouse (late?) / tenant of Nether Inver / uglas and their heirs…also here lies the / corps of / Donald and Alexander McFarlane / Their children
(This is marked as number 25 in the 1969 list, which gives the inscription as: Peter McFarlane late tenant Nethers … , wife Mary McDougall, their heirs, children Donald, Alex; 1786)
